The travel scene is highly competitive so to ensure you are remembered you need to constantly have your messaging going out.

Relationship building
The UK travel industry is still very much based on personal relationships & connections.
Being based here means that I can meet with agents, attend events, speak with them reguarly, interact with them on their terms on their schedule as I fit around them to make sure your message is delivered effectively.
You then take advantage of these relationships as I introduce you to the the agents to close the deal. It is important that you have your own relationships, but Gobble opens that door for you.

Training
Training is not simply tell the agents how many rooms you have & what they cost - It is about get the key details to really stick in their brains.
What makes you stand out?
Why is it better to sell you than X?
How many nights are needed to really experience it?
How does access really work?
Which other properties fit in to an itinerary with yours?

Just as important is who to train - You need to make sure everyone in the sales team is trained, this often involves several sessions as everyone works on different schedules, & learns differently.

Too many times I have seen people have a great connection at a show but nothing comes from it, & this is because the follow-up is not done right, usually because the property or DMC is too busy focused on other areas, or does not understand the UK market.
They spend thousands of pounds on attending trade shows, but that money is then wasted.
